In this second week of September cloudy skies and storms are trying, not entirely successfully, to sweep away the heat of summer leaving the air heavy, claustrophobic, and muggy.
I’ve only experienced an Italian beach resort out-of-season once, many years ago. Scotland were playing San Marino, so Rimini had an autumn influx. End of summer tristesse, Scottish football tristesse, and Fellini. A perfect weekend.
