Thanks for this! I will be there in time to see it.

Agnes - My comment/question isn't about this particular exhibit (though it looks AMAZING) but rather about something I saw on my FB feed from the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo. There is apparently a new exhibit the "House of the Griffins" which is located under the Houses of Augustana and Flavia. Because the FB "translation" is far from grammatically correct, the information about touring the space seems quite confusing. I "think" that there is a Virtual Reality tour that might be available - but not in the actual space due to its fragility. I have no idea if this new site is "on your radar" but it might make for a very interesting new post for your substack??

from what I understand the tour involves a guide going into the house with a camera and broadcasting to the visitors in a room above. I've only been into the site once, a special favour when I was studying for my guide exam many many moons ago and don't have any photos but certainly I'll look into it and do a post if I can get decent photos! Thanks for the suggestion!

What a cool exhibition! If I were in Rome between now and the beginning of May, this exhibition would definitely get a visit from me. Egyptian history and artifacts are endlessly fascinating 🤩 And yay that you’ll be attending Sarah’s Egyptian tour this year! I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to hear all about it 🤗

It is a terrific exhibition, and your choice a very beautiful one.

Can’t get to Egypt or Rome in time this year but I was astounded by the wonderful Egyptian museum in Torino a couple of years ago.
