This could form part of a brilliant chapter in a book…just saying. 😉 I shall remain optimistic and look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks.

I came here in 1967 as a secretary at the Canadian Embassy. My older sister had a BA in art history from U of Toronto, she had studied the perspectives and geometry in Piero's work. She came to visit me in 1968 and we did a Piero pilgrimage. She died shortly after, now there is a well defined Piero's Trail. Lovely essay Agnes, wish I could be on one of your tours.

What a marvelous essay! Congratulations on passing this notable milestone and here’s to many more wonderful years for you. England’s loss was Rome’s great gain. Tanti Auguri!

Loved reading this and await the novella. Hooked on the line that is very much how I felt about Rome at first viewing: “exotically crumbling grandeur.” And then fell hopelessly in love. More please of this fantastic writing.

I was so fortunate to come upon you during Covid & have you fill some of my time with all things Rome. You were a blessing. I’ve been fortunate to tour with you through The Catholic Traveler. It’s always a revelation.

Agnes, this was a complete joy to read! I’m 22, and about to move to Rome to study for my Masters in Food Policy (thankfully taught in English!) I cannot wait and reading this made me even more excited, plus I’ve ordered a copy of “Brother of the More Famous Jack” too 💚

oh how I wish I'd started doing this so many years ago. How proud you must've been to have beaten (only for now!) the Italian bureaucracy maze. I am going to try for an ER Visa that I might get by October this year. Though I'd always dreamed of living in Rome am told Giubileo is not the year to visit. But is it that bad? I'm wondering. Second choice is Firenze. Wish me luck!

Rome is big and there are always plenty of quiet spots, Florence is lovely but the centre is tiny. Good luck!

Well done! And what an inspiring story! You must come and visit our offices. With an architectural background, you might find them quite unexpected. We are inside Termini. But it is honestly difficult to understand from the outside what it's truly like. www.zestgroup.vc. Ping me! roberto.magnifico@zestgroup.cv
