I've always wanted to go to EUR since I'm a history teacher, and the era of 1900-1945 in Italy is a key topic in one of my classes, but I've somehow never made it. Next time, for sure! I did make it to the beach at Ostia, though, last summer. My avatar is a photo I took while there.
Thanks for shining a light on "the other Roma". Most tourists never make it to EUR, and it is such an interesting juxtaposition to the City Center. I love reading your posts... They bring me back to one of my favorite cities in the world. It has been too long since I've visited!
I saw a really wonderful Di Chirco exhibit in Bologna last fall. It's nice seeing the same lines in these photos. I still haven't spent much time in the EUR...need to remedy that on a future visit.
That Caffe Palombini sign is amazing.
That vongole looks so good, I practically wanted to stick my fork in.
The Roman seaside is always a good idea!
