Such a fantastic article! As always, your talent for weaving together multiple sources into a fascinating narrative is spot-on! Also, the photos are EXCELLENT for those unable to see the exhibition in person. You brought attention to details on the pieces that I missed when we attended the exhibition in September! 🙌

This exhibit is sold out for my dates next week. I will definitely try to catch it on another visit, when it is at San Casciano. Great excuse to go back to this area!

I booked in August for October, there are unfortunately limited spaces, but I agree it’ll be an excellent excuse to go to a glorious part of Italy!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your article. Your writing and accompanying photography delight and bring information to life. I like the balance of readable journalism and academic underpinning. It is articles such as these that maintain my subscription and enthuse my plans when visiting Italy. Thank you so much

Thank you for this wonderfully informative and timely article, Agnes! Timely because I did manage to go in late October, having booked more than a month earlier. I just loved this exhibition. The pieces on display were really interesting, exquisite in detail and quite moving.

The whole exhibition was beautifully and expertly curated. I think it was the first time I didn’t have to bend this way and that to avoid reflections and lights to view the pieces.

As an aside, I got to see Davide Rivalta’s magnificent lions in the courtyard !
