Oh my goodness, this new walk is going to be such terrific fun for those 12 lucky participants!! Love the theme, and with the two of you leading the way, it’s guaranteed to be fun! ☺️🙌
It's eternally part of film history, but the Nazi scenes in Roma Città Aperta are unwatchably camp. It's a tribute to the sincerity of the Italian scenes that they overcome the flaw and are so touching and memorable. A lot of film theory boils down to economics. I wish I were there for that tour but I'm always there at Christmas, when everyone’s away. Thanks for the excellent post.
I love this article, and it made me want to visit Cinecittà Studios. I didn't know they had a permanent exhibition. Ladri di biciclette is such a masterpiece. It also reminds us "younger" Italians about how rough things used to be after WWII. Grazie for sharing!
This sounds fabulous, what larks, Pip! I wish we could be there. Lucky participants.
thanks Georgie!

Hopefully you’ll hold that tour again next year. My partner in particular is a cinephile and would love it!
I'm sure we will!
